Karl visited Fairfield and sent the following photos

Note the woodpile on the side porch

Just look at the neighbor's drive - how ugly is that!

Doorway widened, shelves and closet behind made into alcove for refrigerator, walls painted

Paul, the owner - note beautiful hardwood floor in livingroom

Track light installed over diningroom table. Note Madona on radiator

Mom would like all the glassware

She'd also like photos, etc. on refrigerator

Woodburning stove installed in fireplace - gold chair was our gift to new owners

The shop - now has outside seating

Folk's grave - new solar light from Karl & Suzanne

New hospital south of town - old hospital now a medical center - Medical Arts and Fairfield Clinic doctors moved in recently

Whoops - I got it wrong - Cindy sends this explanation...

The old hospital is now Sunnybrook Living Care Center. It will eventually be all nursing home. Sunnybrook *bought 30-50 beds* when Nelson Nursing Home was shut down.  Fairfield Clinic and Medical Arts Clinic and The Professional Clinic(surgeons) are all now located at the new hospital. They each have their own separate facilities inside the hospital. I haven't seen them since they just moved in this past weekend.  All of their old buildings are for sale.  It has been an awful transition for the residents the past 6 mo. not knowing who or IF there would be new owners. Sunnybrook couldn't getting financing so a nursing home in Mt. Pleasant backed them until they could. It has been a mess and a huge turn over of help(and half of them don't show up for work). I am sooooo glad I don't have a relative there right now. I think it will get better when they figure out who is doing what.
