NYC Fireworks
Our 38th wedding anniversary celebration - a tour to NYC to view the Macy's Fireworks Display. We took a bus at 8 AM from York and arrived in Times Square at 11:30. We were on our own to walk around - so, we had lunch at The Pig & Whistle. Then a short walk to Bryant Park to see the rennovation at Terry's previous employer, Michael Kors. Next, a walk to Central Park and back down to meet the bus at 3:30. The bus took us to Pier 83 where we boarded a Circle Line Cruise boat for a tour around Manhatten and up the east side to where we "parked" for the fireworks display which started at 9:30. After the show, back to the bus and home to York - arrived at 3 AM on the 5th.

A close look at the Statue of Liberty
Pier 17 - a popular spot for watching the fireworks (Look at the crowd gathered already by 5:30)
The Falls - An art thing this year in NYC. Several of these were erected.
Another Circle Line boat just like the one we were on
We were parked and at about 8 PM the three Macy barges with fireworks sailed past us.
Now all we had to do was wait.
Looking back into the enclosed portion of the boat. Some people were just bug-eyed with excitement.
NYC fire department boat put on a water spray show
A fly over by the NYC Police Department - Coast Guard and police department boats were EVERYWHERE.
Finally at 9:20 - the fireworks! You just have to be there - filming them is impossible.
